Considered
the highest honor of all awards given by the OHSSCA, it is given annually to an
individual who has significantly contributed to high school swimming/diving in
the state of Ohio. The recipient must be nominated by an executive board member
and then voted on by the entire executive board. It is traditionally presented
prior to the state meet finals on Saturday evening. In 2002, it was presented at
the Central Districts Championships to Mrs. Bruce for her late husband's
commitment to Ohio swimming.
